A garter is an elastic band that is worn around the thigh or a suspender-like strap that is attached to a girdle and a pair of stockings. There are two main purposes for wearing garters. They can be purely functional for holding up thigh-high hosiery or they can be used as a sexy addition to your lingerie. Either way, both types of garter are easy to put on and wear in the bedroom or out on the town.
Step 1
Pull on your thigh-high stockings.
Step 2
Sit down while wearing the stockings. This will reposition the top of the stocking so that it will not slip from being stretched too high on the leg.
Step 3
Slip your foot through the garter and pull it up to your thigh.
Step 4
Leave around 2 inches of the stocking above the garter band.
